BALLYMUN
Ballymun is located to the North of Dublin, near Dublin Airport, Ireland. Ballymun is infamous for the Ballymun flats, which used to be symbol of poverty and social problems in Ireland from the seventies.
At present Ballymun is undergoing a huge euro renewal, with a village centre, and also estates of apartments and houses, with somel sub-districts such as Poppintree and Sillogue.
Ballymun has a population of approximately 25,000.
Ballymun has a wide variety of amenities, from Silloge Golf Course to a Tesco owned shopping centre.
The area has a large selection of pubs, shops and hotels, and also a public sector office development.
The church is located in the old village centre, and several schools, including Gaelscoil primary school.
