CHAPELIZOD
Chapelizod is a small village in Dublin, Ireland. It is located in the wooded valley of the River Liffey under the Phoenix Park.
Chapelizod is said to be the burial site of Iseult of Ireland. It is governed by the Dublin Corporation.
Chapelizod is situated in the parish of Castleknock, which is also the Barony of Castleknock.
The Chapelizod Community Festival is held in the first two weeks of July, normally on a Sunday.
Starting in the nineteen nineties, the festival has become one of the most popular events of the summer.
The festival is organised by volunteers, and sponsored by local businesses.
Chapelizod is also the setting Finnegans Wake, James Joyce's last work.
