CLONSKEAGH, DUBLIN
Clonskeagh or Clonskea is a suburb located South of Dublin, Ireland. The area is near the River Dodder.
The district of Clonskeagh is partially within the administrative district of Dublin City Council.
The majority though, lies mostly in the administrative area of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown.
The most southern point of Clonskeagh is Roebuck Road. The area is also known as Roebuck, and sometimes thought to be part of Windy Arbour.
Clonskeagh is mainly a residential area, developed since the start of the twentieth century.
Clonskeagh has not a a main centre, but has a small village green with a few local shops.
The area has altered in character over the years Because the population of greater Dublin has grown vastly, it has increasingly imposed intensive use of land.
Also the Luas light railway which is close by, has improved commuter access to central Dublin.
