Donnycarney is a suburb, situated to the North of Dublin city.. It has borders with Killester, Artane, Marino and Beamont. and is within the postal districts of Dublin 5 and 9.
The majority of Donnycarney is a residential area, situated about three miles (five kilometres from the city centre of Dublin.
Donneycarney has a large variety of amenities, including a community centre, a credit union, and many restaurants.
Donneycarney is well known for being the home of Parnell Park (Gaelic athletic stadium Association) stadium, where the inter-county teams of Dublin, play most of their matches.
Donnycarney also houses famous GAA clubs St Vincents and Craobh Chiarain who are based there, where the area borders Parnells GAA and Marino.
