DUBLIN CITY GUIDE
Dublin city is one of the main destinations for the majority of tourists because
there are so many attractions to visit. It is one of the most popular
city destinations in the world.
Founded by the vikings around the 9th century, the port has prospered
through the centuries and the city has grown to one of the most prosperous
cities in Europe today.
The majority of the artistic history is in o'connell street in the heart of Dublin.
The general post office was the main site of the easter rising in 1916.
The rising was crushed and some of the freedom fighters(led by padraig
pearse) were executed. Bullet holes still remain on the pillars of
the post office as a reminder of these times.
