GLASNEVIN
Glasnevin is a residential suburb of Dublin city in Ireland. It is situated to the North of Dublin city just under two miles (3 km) North of the city centre. The area used to be found on the North bank of the River Tolka.
Glasnevin is also bordered northwards by Finglas. It also borders North East by Ballynun and to the West by Cabra. It also borders to the East by Whitehall and Drumcondra and Phibsboro Southwards.
Glasnevin has altered over the years, and part of Dublin City nowadays. A lot of it's old charm is still there, with it's old world gardens. Glasnevin has a lively community, with mostly a mixture of young families and older people.
A wooden church, which used to stand on Berkeley Road, was moved to a riverside spot on Botanic Avenue, back in the early 20th century. The previous church used to be called The Woodener. The present building is known to older people as The new Woodener.
