Islandbridge is a road bridge, which spans the river Liffey in Dublind city, Ireland.
The Island Bridge area is so called , because of the island formed at the junction of the rivers Liffey and Camac.

This bridge was swept away by A huge flood destroted the bridge in seventeen eighty seven. The bridge that was constructed in the 1790's, still stands today.
The bridge was renamed Islandbridge in nineteen twenty two, after the independence of the Free State. The bridge was named like a lot of other Dublin bridges named for British peers, at that time.
