KILLINEY
Killiney is a is an area located in South County Dublin, near Dublin city. It lies within the administrative area of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County.
The area is situated near the coast, and lies North of Shankill and South of Dalkey. Killiney has a village centre, and a variety of housing developments, that surround the area.
Killiney Hill Park was originally opened as Victoria Hill, back in eighteen eighty seven. The park was built in honour of Queen Victoria, who celebrated fifty years as Queen.
Killiney hill park has panoramic views of Dublin Bay, Bray Head and Bray Head. It also boasts views of Great Sugar Loaf Mountain, which spans from the Wicklow mountains all the way to Howth Head.
The population of Killiney has grown substantially in the last few decades. With the urbanization of Dublin and the rest of Ireland has progressed.
