PORTMARNOCK, DUBLIN
Portmarnock is a suburban village with several housing estates, North of Dublin in the administrative county of Fingal, in Ireland.
Portmarnock is well known for it's golf club and Portmarnock hotel. The golf clubwas established in late nineteenth century, and is located North of Dublin.
The golf course was built by William Pickeman on John Jameson's land, and was originally a nine hole course. A couple of years later another nine holes were added.
The village centre in Portmarnock, is one main street, with several shops. There are two Roman Catholic churches and other facilities. There are offices and 2 hotels situated to the North, on the same road.
