SANDYMOUNT, DUBLIN
Sandymount is a suburb, located to the South of Dublin in Ireland. It lies in the postal district of Dublin 4.
Sandymount used to be part of Pembroke Township, so called because it was on the land owned by the Earl of Pembroke.
Sandymount is a seaside suburb situated about four and a half kilometres (South East) of Dublin City.
It has a long promenade, where the coast road runs to Merrion Gates.
