STRAWBERRY BEDS, DUBLIN
The Strawberry beds are located along the North side of the River Liffey, near Dublin in Ireland. It lies between the Historic village of Chapelizod and Lucan, on the West side of the capital.
The land used to be owned by the Guinness family and area has remained untouched, and is now an amenity area.
The Strawberry Beds are situated on an attractive stretch of countryside, which is situated about four miles from Dublins City Centre. There are several buses that run from Dublin city, including 66, 67, and 26.
The Strawberry Fair is run every year, by the local residents association. The Liffey Valley is home to the Liffey Descent, which is one of the remaining natural Kayak races in Europe.
