TALLAGHT, SOUTH COUNTY DUBLIN
Tallaght is a town located in the county of South dublin, in Ireland. It is the largest town in the county, and dates back to the seventeenth century.
The main part of the village is located near the River Dodder, and also near the border of Counties Wicklow and Dublin.
The town of Tallaght houses The Square, which is one of the larget shopping centres in Ireland. There are 3 levels and can be accessed via many bus services and the Luas (Dublin Light Railway ystem).
There are many major shopping chains, including Dunnes Stores, Debenhams, Tesco and many more.
There are 3 large hotels located in Tallaght town centre, the Maldron Hotel, the Abberley Court Hotel and the Plaza Hotel (near the Square).
Tallaght has had a lot of construction in recently, mainly new apartment buildings, such as Virginia Hall (a 12 storey building).
Rua Red is a new arts centre for South Dublin County, and was opened at a site close to County Hall, located South of the new library extension.
